UNICODE
It is a computer industry standard for the consistent operation andhandling of the text expressed in most of the world's writing system.Develeped in conjuction with the Universal Standard set standard and published in book form as THE UNICODE STANDARD.
It began in 1987. It was the result of studies undertaken by Joe Becker. It inteted to address to need for a workable ,reliable world text encoding.It can be roughly described as "Wide body ASCII."
